News & Notes:

At long last we're ready to release and tour a trio effort featuring myself, Martin Harley and Sam Lewis. The recording sessions began with Martin arriving from the UK in 2019, with plans to finish tracking here in the USA in 2020. COVID-19 eroded those plans and we finished the tracking of the record in bits and pieces, sending tracks between studios here in Tennessee and in various locations in the UK.

Harley Kimbro Lewis will be released in February of 2022 with a UK tour to follow in March. Pre-Sales of the album will begin soon, and you can find tour/ticket information HERE.

Harley Kimbro Lewis Tour Announced:

Back in October of '20 John Hiatt and Jerry Douglas teamed up to record a new album in the historic RCA Studio B over on Music Row in Nashville. This record is really something; it doesn't sound like anything John's put out before, and I'm really proud of it. Alongside John and Jerry you'll hear me on the big bass, tic-tac baritone and string parts, Mike Seal on electric guitar, acoustic guitar and some keys, Christian Sedelmeyer on fiddles and string parts, with Sean Sullivan engineering.

"Leftover Feelings" from John Hiatt & The Jerry Douglas Band out via New West Records on 5/21/21.

What a treat it was to play those songs with those people in THAT room!

Like so many happenings in 2020 this record and the supporting tour were rescheduled...a few times. But right now we're full speed ahead with a tour that features John and the JDB.

You can find that tour info HERE. In the meantime check out the music video for the single "All The Lilacs in Ohio" here:

DK Album Update:
Mixing is done! I reckon the next step is fund raising for mastering. If you've got any ideas Send em my way here.

"Carpet in The Kitchen" will be the first record release under my own name with 12 original tracks including 'Loyston', 'Chesapeake' and other songs with misery and destruction themes. You'll hear me on vocals, guitars, basses and banjo, Jerry Douglas on dobro and weissenborn, Mike Baggetta on electric guitars and pads, Jordan Perlson on drums/percussion, and Joe McMahan handled the engineering and mixing.
